Abstract:
This paper reviews the lessons learnt in the early adoption of pipeline data modelling for a major pipeline project. It addresses the challenges and enumerates the benefits of undertaking the data modelling concurrent with the design and construction phases of the project.
Potential solutions to some of the challenges are also presented, using a combination of revised process, procedures and the adoption of emerging technology.
